Trivia: The Colombian Red Spore is a mutated P. cubensis strain with brownish red spores instead of the normal dark purplish-black spore color.
The Colombia Rust Spore prints are made on sterile foil which is stored in sterile ziplock bag and kept under refrigerated conditions. Each spore print has a tiny scratch of spores removed from the print. With this swab a test run on agar or liquid culture is made to check the conditions of the spores. Only spores that germinate are released as a print.
Store the Colombia Rust Spore Spore print refrigerated between 2*C-8*C Celsius or 35*F-46*F Fahrenheit. A Colombia Rust Spore print can be stored for years.
The Cambodian strain was found John Allen when he was along his trip in Asia. Now it is a very wideley grown mushroom that has many fans. Cambodia cubensis fruits very soon in the process and needs little attention. Therefore Cambodia spores are a good one to start with if you are not an experienced cultivator (yet). When grown on rice flour, the mushrooms can grow very large. The caps of the mushroom will form an umbrella like shape that have wide rims and have a distinct brown/red color.
The Cambodian psilocybe cubensis spores are a great cubensis strain for the beginning cultivator and researcher. The Cambodia strain it’s mycelium grows very fast and can colonize substrate in notime. Some say the Cambodia is a fast fruiter, others say the Cambodia takes it’s time to develop a full flush of mushrooms. When you live in a humid and hot environment the Cambodian mushroom spores are for you, because they love the heat! (29-30*C)
Who doesn’t know the B+ magic mushroom? This all-round cubensis is one of the strongest “survivors” on the market. Because the B+ is so resilient, it can even grow well in colder temperatures and can easily be spawned outside. B+ can grow mushrooms as long as your underarm. B+ is so efficient that it only stops fruiting when there are close to zero nutrients around and the mycelium can no longer be supported. When you are new to mycology, this strain is a very good one to start off with.
